In Iraq behind a Router..... Hey everybody, just signed on to these forums so lets hope I get it all right :) Anyway, this is my situation...I haven't been able to find a similar one and I have been searching for days to find an answer. This is what I have... I am trying to connect using Limewire Pro from Iraq. The firewalled icon appears, so clearly I am behind a NAT. The Army likes to restrict access to these types of things...but I know there has to be a work around. I do not ahve any access to the router at all. I am pretty sure I saw somebody else here connected to limewire...but I never got a chance to ask him how he did it. If anybody here has the answer I can't wait to hear it... My firewall us unblocked...and I have tried switching it to different ports...but it looks like they only allow the standard http ports etc...who knows...what are your ideas? Thanks a lot everyone! |
ummmm.... considering I have 'respect' for sys. admins and their jobs, all I will hint at is 'http tunneling' |

Mate I would not go bypassing anything that could be considered a security system in a war zone. Yanks might just suspect you of transfering intel, and put you in Guantanimo holiday camp for a little break.. |
