 can some one help me I'm new on limewire forums, but i guess that's not really the point at the moment...I can not connect i recently upgraded to 4.10.9, but even before that i wasn't connecting i have tried tons of stuff listed in the sticky...the stuff i haven't tried is because i need in dummy language (cuz i'm clueless) If anyone has any idea what my problem may be please help cuz i have zero idea! Thanx so much!   |

| Merge... rgh0101 - can someone help me Did you do the port test (there's a link in the sticky)? What result did you get? What are your details? OS(Win XP etc) LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) Firewall you're using Modem/router brand & model ISP Connection type (DSL etc) Where you connect from (home, school etc) Are you sharing a connection with other computers Is this your first try with LW **Replies to posts aren't working at the moment. Reply by PM will work. You'll see an error page but the message still goes through. Else, start a new thread titled "your original thread - merge". A moderator will merge threads when they get the chance. |

| well i took the port test and it said everything was good... i don't know i do not have a clue but i really wish my limewire would connect does anyone know what the problem might be? I have a windows xp and a local internet company provides my service...my modem is a 52 k and i have limewire version 4.10.9. I have no idea what to do. |

| Merge... rgh0101 - can someone help me Did you make sure that your XP firewall was off & that your Norton firewall was configured properly? Did you find out the brand & model of your modem? The problem is quite possibly something to do with your modem but to help, we need that info  I'll post your details from your PM here, in case someone else wants to answer if I'm not around i have a windows xp i have limewire version 4.10.9 and the java is 1.5.0_03 I have norton anti-virus and the personal internet firewall i have a 56k modem my isp is a local company called Yucca it has a phone number so let me know if you need to know that my connection type is dial up i guess i connect from home the computer i am on is the only one that i have limewire on i had limewire since september if not before, and this is the first time i cannot cannot connect **Replies to posts aren't working at the moment.
