Can't connect all of a sudden Okay, I had a previous post that I tried to find (just so people could see what I changed/fixed already) but probably starting around January, my LimeWire would not connect when I had already been using it fine for a few months before that. Shortly after I had tried getting help on this forum it decided that it wanted to connect again and it did so for a good month (even though I was told it might not connect b/c my college campus may have some type of firewall up to block it). Well about a week ago, it has again stopped connecting. Any idea why? Here's some of my info: Windows XP ISP: I'm not sure exactly, but it is high-speed through my campus connection. I have "allowed" limewire into my firewalls on my computer. I changed it so it does not connect automatically but so it connects when I click "connect" on the menu. I downloaded the fixer thing from the limewire website. It is limewire version 4.10.3 |
Can't Connect Quote:
Your previous 2 posts were these For those who can't connect A, & also For those who can't connect B which are both on the same page. BTW that link in that page that didn't work was this one: Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If it works on & off, then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) |
