Help?!
 

Hi! I've had limewire for a while now, and it worked for like, two years. Suddenly, I can't open it. I'm not very computer literate, and I've tried everything you've told people with connection problems to try (to the best of my abilities :rolleyes: which is not much. Is there any way you can help me? I just cannot open limewire at all and I haven't changed any computer programs or anything. One day it just decided not to open up. I'd appreciate any bit of help I can get. Thank you very much.

Try these things:

1. Open your Add/Remove Programs Control panel & remove all versions of Java.

2. Downld & install Java 1.6 beta http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp (choose JRE) "Offline" version which is a 15.72 MB

3. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)


The forums are having some technical problems at present.

Thank you so much for all your help. You've explained those instructions so many times in other threads and I made you day it again...You must be so tired of typing those instructions. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you because now Limewire is working perfectly. Bwahaha. You're the best! :D
