Firewall blocking / No internet? no connection(limewire)

I just recentley downloaded limewire and i am having problems connecting. the bars on the bottom left always stay red( ive tried everything!!!!!!!! it saids that the firewall might be blocking limewire so i turned it off but it still dosent work...and it also saids that i might not have internet conncetion but my wirless internet connection is working fine?????? i changed around the Gnutella settings using the limewire support help....didnt work....CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT! ( the first day i ever got it worked fine, i didnt change any settings, i tried uninstall and reinstalling but it saids the same thing

That's most likely where your problem is. Most wireless modems & routers have NAT firewalls. See Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link) & check the UPnP section about a third of the way down the page.

BTW 1. what operating system are you using?

2. What brand & model of modem/router are you using?
