Im having the whole firewall detected issue meanwhile i do NOT have a firewall.

I upgraded to the newer limewire last night... connected for a little and then went back to firewall detected mode.

I just recently got off the phone with a optimum online rep and he assured me they are not blocking ports... he is trying to convince me that its a limewire problem.
He said to try to reinstall lime wire... going to try that now,i let you guys know how that goes.

I just got on but i am not able to download songs.
Theres barely any search results... is it because alot of people are having issues?

Did you try a different port? Try a different listening port. If that makes no difference, then try a different connection port. You may need to manually port forward to acheive that. The port changes may need to be reflected in the software firewall.

So the port has something to do with my search results?
Jeez,this is so frustrating!

According to the other Optimum online users, they are blocking ports. Try for yourself.
At least that's how it was in one of the Optimum isp areas/districts of control.
