Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

firewall a no go

Hi again, I just got a pop up from LW and I quote"LW is unable to connect to hosts on the Gnutella network. This is most often due to firewalls or content filtering software blocking access to Gnutella (port 6346). Please review your firewall's options to allow LW to access the Gnutella network or speak to your system administrator or ISP to determine if Gnutella traffic is being filtered." So I just moved here at the end of January and my husband just left the country for four months for his job and I have no idea who the ISP is or anything so I think that is the problem and I am basically out of luck. Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it. Mands
