Tried Everything Wont Work Plz Help
 
i tried everything in the firewall config insturctions but for some reason it doesnt work still i tried reinstalling limewire i made the 2 new ports or w/e those are idk.. i tried everything that it says to do like 3 times now and it still wont connect if someone can help i would apreciate it thanks

You should really have posted this in the Connection Probs section. Maybe a nice mod will move it?:)

What are your details?
OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

Do this port test & see what result you get

Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue earth)?
Within LW, go tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'. Is it true or false?

Read this sticky & make sure your firewall's configured, enable UPnP if your router supports it & check out the info on port forwarding

Windows XP pro.
LimeWire 4.10.9 Java 1.5.0_06
I am using the windows firewall
I have Optimum online cable
its my home computer
i share the connection with my neighbor
i had LW for a couple of months now and it just stoped connecting last week
the link says "Your test worked! "
there is a brick in front of the blue earth
recieved incoming this session is False
everything is configured like everyone of those links ive been through everyone one of them and it doesnt work :confused:
