Default Its Optimum Online ......

The info on this board has been very helpful. Thank you to everyone that posted about the firewall problem.

I have Optimum Online as well as some of my friends and we are all blocked out. LM worked great two days ago then out of nowhere it could not connect. We tried every option available and even looked at other programs that would not work either.

The only method that worked for us was changing ports. It worked last night, I do not know if it still works.

I really think its terrible that Cablevision is doing this but it looks like Limewire's days are numbered.

If anyone has found better way(s) to remove the phantom firewall, please keep us all posted.

We tried the stealth surfing and IP address changing and it did not work too well.

Thanks. CM

Yeah it is Opt. I'm in the Bronx and I tried changing the listening port, allowing for Gnutella in the firewall settings and nothing. Optimum Online can really go to hell, blocking this and then lying to us saying it is the product not them.
