Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() hi and thanx in advance for to anyone who can help me ![]() first i'll tell you my set up- windows xp pro sp2 limewire 4.10.09 pro isp cablevision router linksys 54wrg v5 nvidia 6800ultra graphics card 700 gig of memory amd atholon fx-53 processor running at 2.4 2 gigs of ram i think i have done everything i can to fix the problem with no success i have port forwarded my router changed the listening port accepted limewire as an application open up ports for 6346 under the tcp and the udp and i still can't can't get rid of that brick wall in lime wire and i still can't connect if anyone can help me out i would really apreciate it and if you have any question let me know |

![]() I can see 3 potential problems! The 1st is Cablevision who is actually better known here as Optimum. See 1. All Nyc Limewire Users With Optimum!, & then also 2. Its Optimum Online ......, & then 3. Optonline and LImewire, & then 4. MY ongoing conversation with Optimum Online, & then lastly 5. please help me get rid of my firewall problem.. There's more references around the forums but these were the easiest & prolly best to see. ![]() The 2nd problem I can see is your linksys 54wrg which are known to have firmware problems. Some of these work unreliably whether in UPnP mode & at the very worst port forwarding ... This issue & answer ... Oh but then again you have the wrg not wrt ... might not be as bad.
