Limewire says "currently connecting" when I search for things
 

I've had Limewire for quite a while now, and it has always worked. Lately when I search a message comes up that says "Limewire is currently connecting..." and I only have the smallest connection bar as green in the bottom corner of my screen. I have gone to the test page and it did say it worked. I am running OSX 10.4.6. I went to the 'Sharing' folder in 'Internet & Network', the Firewall tab is on, but when I click on 'New' I don't see the Gnutella/Limewire' choice to select. I am in an apartment that uses a router for a wireless connection, but I'm stumped because it has always worked for me. I am computer literate, but not familiar with all the terms related to internet connections, firewalls, etc. The application works fine, I just can't perform any serches. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
