Check out this thread
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ack+connection

Follow LOTR's advice there. If nothing helps, post back with your details (as specified within that thread) & whatever fixes you tried, that didn't work:)

nothin worked:(

Did you try reinstalling Java using the offline installer?

Where are all your details???

Lord of the Rings June 5th, 2006 06:20 PM

'firewall and loopback connection' is what it suggests. A firewall issue. But updating your Java will help. We can't offer much advice without details as birdy suggested.

Do you have more details on the model number of your Belkin device? I don't believe they support UPnP. You may need to forward a port manually on your device.

birdy June 5th, 2006 06:42 PM

Have you double checked that your XP firewall is configured properly?
Firewall setup

How do you have your router set up? Is UPnP enabled or have you been port forwarding? I can't find any info on your router, let alone anything to tell me if it's got an internal firewall:confused:

What changed between when LW was working & now... any new hardware, anyone come in to fix your pc?

Lord of the Rings June 5th, 2006 06:52 PM

http://172.16.32.1 should be the log in address for your device. This will also show the exact model number after you've logged in.
