Lime Wire Execution Problem
 

Download and Install the Limewire App. Installed Java no errors
on either front. Run App. Limewire Program Loads, stays for oh about 3 seconds and then just terminates. Taskbar Icon shows up, and then 4 seconds after the program terminates, the Icon is removed.

Read some forums on installations, and went out and got the java applet and reinstalled. Then reinstalled the Limewire again.

Same Results.

Running a New install of Windows 2000, with all of the security and SP2 Patches done from Microsoft.

Am running on Cable Modem, with Linksys Cable Router for
my network.

Didn't find anything of help on the current forum, and am not sure what to look for at this point, as there are no warning, error messages, or stupid windows displays, just the program is
on and then it is gone. :confused:

I am having the same problem.
Win2K Pro.
Installed OK but when the program is started it stays up for a few seconds and then goes away.
I can't find any info in the Event Viewer regarding the program dying.

Problem Resolved
 

Went to the Web Site, and Registered as a User.
Program then executed without any problems.

You should receive an Email with user and activation key.
This email will include a website to enter your final step of
activation. IE Account name, Activation Key, and link to
the web site, if now try the link below to register.

Once I was registered, the application worked without closing.
