 i am new to limewire and i cant get a connected to it i have tryed all the steps that it tell me to do and it still wont work i turn my firewall off on and it wil not work at all i have tryed the java thing too i am very confused with this program they shuld have a help line for these kind of help  |

| kirbywirby, rather than turning off your firewall have you tried configuring it to allow LW? Lots of instructions here Firewall setup Do this test & see what your result is http://www3.limewire.com:6346 Read through this, it has heaps of info Connection problems? Check here first! What are your details? OS(Win XP etc) LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) Firewall you're using Modem/router brand & model ISP Connection type (DSL etc) Where you connect from (home, school etc) Are you sharing a connection with other computers Is this your first try with LW Do you see the brick wall firewall icon? |
