I've lost my "limewire.exe"

I'm new so pls help.
My machine is a dell 4600 operating xp with service pack 2 and latest threat updates. My limewire version is/was 4.2.6. It was working beautifully as advertised. I don't consider myself a 'power user' so I steadily declined the pro version.
One day I tried accessing Limewire and rec'd a note stating "missing limewire.exe" and nothing happened. I manually browsed-search and could not locate the application file.
When I subscribed originally, I paid for 'lifetime membership'.
What happened and what am I suppose to do to fix this?

I have tried to download a track today and got sent to napster......
Going to sound very thick now but I have forgotten when I subscribed to Limewire so am unsure as to whether it has lapsed now. Surely I would've received notice rather than being re-directed to a share site I've never used before???
Can anyone help with this at all????????????? I miss Limewire already!!!

The napster thingy won't show up if you use the most recent LW version, 4.12.3 - ie: LW won't react to such files.
