You've had connection before. Is it just hosts that you can't get ?
Or have you lost your connection to LW all together.
Explain a little

There is talk on the forum of ISP's blocking the ports.

Talking Connecting

Hi, I have the same probs - the univerity blocks the port. I htink the only workaround is to set up an linux-server on both sides of the firewall, so that you can start to tunnel the ports linuxserver1 to linuxserver2 over the http or ftp ports. they can't cloce these ports.
The problem ist to find an linuxserver in the www to which you have full access.

Question Source for Firewall workaround?

Dear Night-Stalker, KathW, or Others,

Could you please direct me to a URL or other source to work around the firewall which is blocking me from using the gnutella?

Your suggestion makes sense, however, as I am less technical (but capable), I would need rough step by step instructions to workaround the firewall at work.

thanks in advance,
C
