Starting Connection/One Bar/Cannot Communicate with any Other Hosts Ok, this is an ongoing problem for me, I've been having this problem on and off since I first tried installing my ethernet bridge and I was playing with my IP adress and DNS sever and things like that. The problem consists of my Limewire not being able to connect to a host, and it's not any specific settings for Limewire because another program I have called VDownloader which is used to download videos of of Youtube, Google Video, and etc. stop working as well. They all have to do with the host or something. In the bottom left corner of the Limewire window its stays on the mode where it says "Starting Connection" This is really bugging me because Limewire is one of my primary programs on my computer. It's not UpNp neither because the last time I had this problem it had not a thing to do with the UpNp settings because I never went on it. It's something obvious an not real complicated I'm sure of that. But, I looked throught everything and still I have not a clue. Please someone help me, I would deeply Appriciate such a kind gesture... |
Did you ever try port forwarding? LOTR talked about it in your original thread... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=58042 |
noooo, noooooo, It has to be something easier I'm sure of it has to be a simple setting because on the 4th of July my brother was toggling with a few things to get my ethernet bridge working, then the ethernet bridge still didn't work and he wound up messing my Limewire up, So then a very large portion of things messed up as well, so then he went back again the next day did something really really simple because I was watching either changing the IP address or DNS server or turning the modem on and off, and strangly It started working again but he wasn't satified because the ethernet bridge wasn't working, so then another attempt to get the bridge to work failed and he must've reset something again to have me have this problem again. I know there's an easier way I really need someone who knows if there is somewhere on some website. I've never In all the time I had Limewire had a problem like this this is really messed up. Like I said also earlier this is a certain network setting because other software programs are messed up as well. I'd appriciate it if someone can really help me at this point, I miss being able to download... Thank You |
