Limewire used to work... but now it doesnt
 

when ever i try to connect there is only one green bar. It stays that way. I restart my computer, made sure my firewall isnt blocking it, clicked that link on this site and it says you are connected. So I dont know what to do.

It was working last week. Now, when I try to search, no results pull up. Do you have the same issue? The globe keeps spinning, but still no results!

Can anyone help?

Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

I have the same problem man. It still works on my brother's account on the computer however, it's weird.

I've made sure its not the firewall, and everything else I've checked, it just has 1 green bar. I leave it up forever, but it stays at 1 bar. It was working fine a week ago.

Win XP
LW:4.9.27 (should i update?) & Java version: i dont know
Firewall you're using: windows?
Modem/router brand & model: microsoft i dont know
ISP
Connection type: Cable
Where you connect from: home
Are you sharing a connection with other computers: what does that mean exactly? i only have 1 computer at my house

I'm having a similar problem, here are my specs

Windows: Windows XP Home edition
Router: Paradyne ADSL Router
Firewall: Windows Firewall (With Limewire exempted from the bad programs list)
PC: 512MB RAM
3.2 GHz Processor
Connection Type: ADSL
Connecting From: Home (1 PC)

For the love of God! I've been trying for nearly 4 hours now and I can't get this **** thing to connect!!!

Have you changed your version of LW?

If not, what version of LW are you using?

Do any of you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? If yes, see the main sections here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link). How many green bars do you see?
