Read through this, it's got heaps of info about connection/firewall probs
Connection problems? Check here first!
Make sure that you're only using 1 firewall, more than 1 will cause trouble. Your modem/router may have it's own firewall... see the info about using UPnP & port forwarding. Do the port test & see what result you get!

If you're still stuck, post back with your details

OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

Except I have wireless internet. Could that be the problem? I could use it fine when I had cable internet thru my college. Thanks for your time.

I have wireless internet as well. Mine just quit working not to long ago for no reason. I am in the same boat as you.

I have the exact same problem:mad:

Limewire worked fine until I got Wireless Internet, and now its not working at all, I can't connect, and I only have one green bar on my connection quality as well...

Wonder if....

Its because we have wireless? it doesnt say anything in the FAQs or tech support about wireless.... I dont know much about that but, I tried Kazaa and Ares. Ares works sort of and I dont know about Kazaa yet...
