![]() Hi There! I know this looks long, but I really need help ![]() About 2 months ago, I got Wireless Internet on My own computer, I didn't have to use the Family Computer anymore, and I was thrilled that my downloads could be so much faster on my computer, as the family computer isnt that great. On the old computer I had Limewire 4.10.9, and it worked absolutely perfectly, so the first day I got Wireless Internet on my new computer, I downloaded Limewire, I have 4.12.3 and it doesnt work, so for 2 months I've been so frusterated about not knowing whats happening, so I was hoping someone could help me? Whenever I go into Limewire, the little Earth on the Bottom Taskbar is blocked by a brick wall, so its Firewalled. I followed the Limewire.com Windows Firewall instuctions, adding Gnutella TCP & UDP etc, and the Earth is still blocked by the brick wall. And whenever I search for something, it still says Limewire is trying to connect me. These might help someone uncover whats wrong with my Limewire: I have Mcafee Personal Firewall Plus My Computer is a Dell Dimension 5150 I have a Intel Pentium 4 Is it my Internet, or My McAfee Firewall? I've had troubles with my Dell in the past. If anyone could help me it would be appreciated SO much, also, Limewire isnt working on the Family Computer anymore either. |

![]() Besides that you shouldn't run 2 firewalls at the same time (since they most likely will interfere with each other), have you configurated your Mc Afee firewall to allow LW access the internet? And what about your wireless router, does it have a built-in firewall? I reckon you reading the thread about how to configurate firewalls and routers one more time: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=51361 ![]()
