Hello, i've been a user on limewire for a little while now and i just got limewire pro 3 days ago; i never had problem with the speed before and since i've installed the pro version the speed is suddenly dropping at zero everywere but i can still do my search and it says i'm connected!! i've tried everything(i think!)i disinstalled it to put back the basic version, I tried configurating my firewall and add tcd and ucd port; i don't think it's that cause my firewall is not blocking limewire (the globe in the left bottom corner is ok and the host are conneting; but anyways i come here for help now i'm lost!!!! I'm still new at this i've just starting working on a computer(home) since 3 months ago( i know i have alot to learn but still) My pc is a 1ghz, i use a dsl modem connexion, 256mo memory ram and i have windows xp sp2( tweaked ) on my pc and i use window's firewall"""""" Sorry english is not my first language...... There could be seveal reasons for this kind of problem.
The first thing to try would be deleting the Limewire preference folder when LW is completely closed (i.e. also in the system tray) as explained here (Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire)

If that doesn't do the trick, you should uninstall both, LW and all Java versions on your computer. Then downloading the newest Java version (JRE offline installer) for your OS from here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
After you have installed the Java version reboot and install LW again.

In any case, LW will need some time to fully connect to the network (can anything from 2 - 45 minutes; for me sometimes even more than an hour), so give it some time to settle down.
