Good luck with Optus I hope there better than Bigpond lol....
With the static IP you have to copy down and place the correct numbers exactly were they tell you....

Static ip should remain thus. If you haven't set it up correctly or didn't save your settings, then it isn't a static ip which might be why you received that message. I'm not sure how reliable DLink's UPnP is. My model doesn't have it.

If you're running LW on more than one computer, then you'd need to do a separate port forward for each computer using that same router & using a different port for each one.

Hi, Im having a really similar problem, I recently got a Router to connect me to the Internet, and Limewire wasnt working, so I decided to see how to fix it.
I followed some of the Intructions from this conversation and made it to this Link.

http://www.portforward.com/english/r...4/Limewire.htm

My Router is a D-Link G-54, but whenever I type in my IP Adress, 192.168.0.1 into my browser it comes up with a Motorola Cable Modem sign-in page. Motorola is the Broadband Modem I'm connected to, but i cant connect to my router, any ideas?
(I'm in Sydney, Australia connected to Bigpond via a Motorola Modem if that helps)
