Latest Download Problem
 

Having just switched to the latest download I am experiencing a glitch. With the last version I would minimize to the system tray and do other things. But now, when I do the same, then "restore" limewire, all I get is a blank white screen with a pretty green border!!! So, what gives?

Hey, that was quick, oh knowing one, my thanks. Will check it out shortly.

Checked it out, it does not apply in my case (I do not think). I do not get blank (not black) screens on start up, its only from "restore" in system tray.

Make sure you have a minimum of Java 1.5 then. Also make sure you have at least 500 MB ram, also make sure you have several GB free for VM & downloads.

Also consider 1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!, & also 2. Disabling your Ultrapeer capabilities: Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Speed & uncheck option & press apply button.

If none of that works then try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
