Turbo-Charged Connection but can't download I have limewire pro 4.12.3 and I have been downloading files great, but recently I cannot download anything even though I have plenty of sources. The file will stay at the status of "connecting" but the download never starts. I've heard that my isp, Comcast, gives trouble to p2p programs but this is the first time in 4 months. |

I have the same problem. I right clicked on the file to check with Bitzi and the answer was the file could not be found but when I entered the title of the movie for Bitzi to search I got answers which were among the results found by Limewire and still Limewire needed new sources and the download couldn't start. I checked with E-Donkey I get the files and I can download but it's usually slower than with Limewire Pro which I'd rather used. Does Limewire prevent some titles from being downloaded? Also there are requests for some TV series that elicit no reply at all when you dl a number of episodes from E-donkey: are they barred from downloading by Limewire? |

I often use the Bitzi search for a movie and use the magnet link to start the download, needless to say that the sources aren't always available so, I just wait and try again at a different time and I do eventually get the movie... I dont know much about E-donkey, so I cant help you there.. I do know that Limewire doesn't restrict any downloads as it doesn't have anything to do with what people share on the network, it's just the software that links our computers to one another...

The magnet links at Bitzi are 1. not compatible with LimeWire. & 2. generally very old & no longer useful. However magnet links are a very good way to send files to friends. And Bitzi is a very good way to find reports about files you're searching for. |

Hmmm, Sorry LOTR but I will have to disagree there... The link opened LW automatically, it worked for me just a few days ago and I was linked to the sources of that file straight away and downloaded the movie...

I use the one for Gnutella... But I will agree that it's not 100% successful all the time as you mentioned that it could be an old link.... I usually only use this feature if I cant find the file through LW itself and I keep getting fake results....
