Connections Problems.... still I've been trying for the last week and a half to get connected to the limewire servers. After several reinstalls and many attempts to fix the problem, it still cycles through all of the servers, from router.limewire.com, through all of the connect1-4's and the bearshares and other hosts, and it does nothing. i had no problems until i upgraded to version 1.7d, and from there, everything has gone downhill. What can I do????? |
Can anyone help me? I have been using limewire for the last 2 years without a problem. Then 3 weeks ago, I got a pop-up maessage to say that the software was having difficulties connecting. I hadn't changed any settings and was not doing anything unusual. Now I am pulling my hair out trying to find a solution to fix the problem, but nothing works :( |
Same here for Verizon Los Angeles and SBC Global in Newport Beach CA. Lord/Rings is trying to be helpful, but in his frustrations to miffed posters, he says LW is fine....every other entity is wrong. While this might well be true, it doesn't help users. "Lord"....something NEW is going on out there, and we must find out what. If the "surgery" (LW) is still successful, but the "patients" (users) continue to die, it doesn't suffice to say LW is fine. If it is not you who is qualified to do the detective work, who is? I wish I could say it was me, but I am not an internet or computer expert. :( Hellllllllp......:) |
Hi there. I have been using Limewire 4.14 and Utorrent for a while with ok but not great results but connection was rarely if ever a problem. Last week I had to do a re-install on my HDD and when I tried to connect Limewire and Utorrent , I can't get them to connect. I have read and acted on lots of advice I found all over the Net actually (there doesn't seem to be anyway to get to Limewire to ask for their help though) including the very thorough article by "Lord of the Rings". I am using a PC with Intel Duo T4300, 2GB RAM and loads of HD space. XP home SP2 is the O/S with standard Windows firewall allowing Limewire and Utorrent in the exceptions. My broadband router is a Netopia 2247G and I'm with Eircom as my ISP at 2MB here in Ireland. I re-installed Java as recommended in one thread, version 1.5(?). I have allowed Liewire and Utorrent in the router's internal settings as well. Iam not an expert on internet or computers but I'm not a dumbass either. I read "Goodkid1's" post and suspect he is right that there is something going on out there relative to P2P programs but as I paid for Limewire, I expect them to get on top of what ever it is, Utorrent was for free so I have no comeback there. Does anyone have anything new to add:bangh:? |
way when i try too seach i get the messege that lime wire is currently trying too concent to the network but I never get any but that on conection at all |
