Cant Connect ???

I just downloaded the newest version of limewire i am on a new macbook and i have wireless roadrunner internet i have checked my firewall through the sharing section of my system prefrences and it says it is off?? any suggestions? i should also note that limewire detects a firewall.. any help would be great
