lol, all Netgear routers have firewalls except for the older DSL ones from a couple of years ago. Really, you don't need Comodo unless your modem doesn't have a built in Firewall or are on Dial-Up internet connection. But first remove comodo access access internet explorer (view a few webpages) and email (send email to self). |

omg, it worked! Thank you so much! I'm just wondering though, is my Netgear Firewall going to keep me protected? I really don't want to get any viruses on my computer from anywhere, and I'm not saying I'll get it from Limewire, I just mean in general. My computer isn't very old, and well, to be honest, it's my baby lol. Anyway, thank you so much for helping me figure this out! : ) |

Yes, I have a similar problem as MsPinkFreud, except that a) I can download whether the brickwall appears or not ; b) I don't always have the brickwall in front of the globe. Yesterday it never appeared; today I have it and I haven't changed anything to my settings. So I made an experiment: I simply disabled my firewalls, both the windowsxp's and my router's( wanadooLivebox). No firewalls, normally the brickwall should disappear. It hasn't. So I dont see how Limew can detect a firewall. That's why, more often than not, I simply choose to ignore it. |

With my router connection when I get to stage 8 it says "obtain an ip automatically" and there is nothing in the box "use the following IP address" not even the one which I can see in my livebox config. Then I noticed that the address in LAN and in the router ends differently. LAN ends with 0.1 and in my router with 1.10 |
