keeps disconnecting
 

hi, i have limewire pro an it connects fine on startup but after about 5-10mins it disconnects then takes ages to connect again, when it dissconectsit always connects again but takes ages, its very annoying because it interferes with my downloads, how can i stop this? cheers

did all that you said and all is working fine...so far (touch wood)
i even have all the file associations in LimWire too which had disapeared.
how do you get that back by the way if it gets lost again i.e
when searching mp3's (winamp icon, which i use) comes up or searching video's (WMP) icon apears in the search column.
it always gets lost after a while, when i reinstal it apears for a little while then becomes a generic file icon.

I'm afraid that didn't help with the connection problem.
It's happening again.
I uninstalled LimeWire, and deleted all traces, updated Java
and reinstalled LimeWire but the connection thing is happening again.
it'll connect for about 5 mins on full, then it'll drop down to 3 bars
and it'll stop searching and downloading untill it goes back up again only for a couple of minutes then it's down again etc.
so back to the drawing board!!!
