No connection, i have my own resolution, please advise...

I have just downloaded limewire pro and have been unable to conect at all. I have sat here, read every post, tried every scenario and to no avail. Due to the obvious lack of knowledge on this problem, I just want to konw how to get credited back the money i have paid. What a terrible customer support this is. Refund please.

LW Pro has a no refund policy
http://www.limewire.org/wiki/index.p...estions#lwpro5

If you told us what scenarios you have tried & gave us some system details, somebody would at least try to help you with your problem.

We are not LW customer support. This is a Gnutella forum. Everyone here is a volunteer & none of us work for LW.

Sorry but this is not LimeWire (LW) Pro support. If you wish to send a cheque in donation toward our time we spend here helping voluntarily then we'd appreciate it.

You have connection problems then see the sticky's posted here for THAT purpose Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

Don't ask us for a refund ... we are not LW.org. BTW I'm sure you read this http://www.limewire.com/english/content/refund.shtml as the link to it is found on the LW Pro purchase page! https://www.limewire.com/sales/engli...rms/buypro.php

*** sorry birdy ... you beat me to it! lol :D But I thought it might be worth keeping anyway!

Can't connect

I just downloaded Limewire Basic and I can not connect. I made sure my settings for Norton FIrewall are correct, but nothing is happening. What do I do???

In future... it's probably a good idea to create a new thread, rather than tacking onto someone else's;)

Have you read the connection problem stickies? Start with this one
Connection problems? Check here first!

Double check your Norton firewall config. Make sure that the XP firewall is turned off, if you're using Win XP. Do the port test within the thread above & see of it works. Check out the info about enabling UPnP & port forwarding... chances are that your router has it's own internal firewall that might be effecting your connection. Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall)?

If you're still stuck, post back with your details

OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

my sincerect apologies...

well this morning after taking a break, a deep breath, and trying this again, i have succeeded at getting this to work. Alas, my problem was Norton Antivirus, and yes, my own frustration. I apologize for ranting, and now am loving the lightning fast Turbo connection. Thanks Limewire.
