Default Can't get rid of the firewall

I just downloaded limewire today, but I can't figure out how to get rid of the firewall on the globe. I went to the limewire page, and followed the steps, but it didnt change. I checked in my McAfee and Limewire is allowed access, all parts of it. So I don't know why it still won't go away. Please help me!

Are you using a modem/router or are you connecting to the internet via a NIC card in your PC?

It is quite possible that the lan you are using has a built in firewall, I guess that you are probably using an office, college or some sort of building network and, as such, most IT admin people will install a firewall on their network.

If I am right then LW is sensing that firewall rather than your McAfee one.
