Connection issues with LimeWire Pro

Hi there, I have read through heaps of posts tonight and I still can't get LimeWire to connect to the network, basically it was working fine for ages and now all of a sudden it will not Connect. Heres a brief summary of what system im running...

LimeWire Pro 4.12.6
ZoneAlarm Security Suite 6.5.722.000
Windows XP Proffesional Service Pack 2

BT Voyager 2110 Wirless ADSL Router

I only get this level when I connect to LimeWire -> http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/6941/1al9.png

I have allowed LimeWire through ZoneAlarm by checking all the options in Program Control.

I have also checked my BT Modem setting and UPnP is enabled like it was suggested in one of the guides.

Im really stumped on this one and if anyone could provide me with clear instructions on configuration it would be most appriechiated as I am not the greatest expert in this area.

Thanks again

Dan

1. AFAIK Voyager doesn't have a reliable UPnP implementation. Port forwarding might be a more reliable option.

2. Is your XP firewall on?

3. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?

4. Who is your ISP (internet service provider)?

1. OK could you possibly explain to me what I would have to do in order to port forward dor LimeWire then?

2. No XP Firewall has been disabled in services along with Security Center

3. Yes I see a brick wall, but I saw that before and I used to get a connection.

4. Im am currently with Plus Net

Thanks buddy, hope this helps.

Port forwarding instructions for your BT Voyager: http://www.portforward.com/english/r...0/Limewire.htm
Most important step is the very 1st one which is setting up a static ip. This must be done correctly or the process won't work properly after you reconnect. I know with some brands of devices you need to reboot the device in order for the changes to be saved properly. I don't know about your BT however. (although it says model 2091, it's the one they list for your model so the instructions must be the same.)

This is probably not relevant in your case but there is this about plus net.

Thanks for that, although I just run LimeWire and its seems to be working now althought the download speeds are not too great for a 1MB connection its going about 4kbps with plenty of hosts.

I have a feeling this could be something to do with Plus Net peak and off peak usage limits. I looked on the website and I havent gone over the limit so its still a mystery - I will check later to see whether this is the case. In the mean time I now have to sort out my d/l speeds could port forwarding help in any way?
