Limewire won't connect
 

Hey i used to have limewire on my home computer, and it worked fine, i loved it. Now i go off to college, and i can install it, but it won't connect to the network. I don't know all of the specs for everything, but my internet is about a 1 Mbps wired connection. The firewall on my computer is all set to allow it, but i think the college has a firewall before it even reaches my computer (in fact i know they do). The problem is, is that i don't know what kind of firewall they have or how to get around it.

now my question is that is there any way to get around this? can i still use limewire? thanks

Talk to the school's computer admin, find out what their policy on p2p use is.
You might find that they're blocking all p2p & that anything you tried would be a waste of time.
Do other students use p2p? If they do, find out what they've done to get around the firewall;)
