![]() Okay, here's the deal. I have had Limewired for a couple of months and the connection was amazing! Everything was uploading perfectly, especially since I was connecting my laptop off of a neighbor's wireless. But- all of a sudden the brick blocked the earth symbol on my Limewire program. I recently have my own wireless connection- thinking maybe that was it. My McAffee and Windows firewalls are no longer active and my limewire still won't connect. I've even tried the address with the digits at the end to see if my computer was gnutella capable/ready. I have also uninstalled and installed the program again at least twice. I have tried other programs like Morpheus, Kazaa and Shareza . . .they too, won't connect due to firewall or another issue I am unaware. PLEASE HELP! I *NEED* Limewire back. . . its like it has broken up with me for no reason! I hate being dumped! |

![]() Blond BrittanyPelly As far as I know, you really cannot turn off the built in firewall within your router, the instruction might say you can but it is something that can only be done by a real expert. I went through the same problem myself until wondering why came to my rescue. What you first have to do is find out the make and model number of your router, as said in the previous post, this info should be on your instruction manual and/or the box that the router came in. Get back to us once you have this info. UK Bob |
