Default Brick wall shown, but Im still DLing....

I have limewire pro and my connection has all the bars maxed. I have the image of the brick wall in front of the globe and I was wondering , how I am still downloading? Right now i am downloading at 90 kb/s split into five videos. I have Verizon DSl with an external Westell 327 router. I believe this router has its own firewall enabled. not to mention i have a windows firewall which following a tutorial here on this site, I placed Gnutella on the allow list. I also have a cheapy firewall from Mcaffee that came for free wtih the DSl. I also enabled Limewire to be allowed. I was wondering if I can take the brick wall away and download faster,( how can I do this?) because I thought if you had the brick wall you cant download anything.
thanks for the help

Almost all firewall companies insist on only having one active firewall as having more than one active will cause clashes & give you less security. And for LW, it will cause problems. So decide between either XP or McAffee firewall. And whichever one you don't use, disable it. The other configure to allow LW. If you still get the firewall icon, then go here http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm & find your model under Westell -> LimeWire & telnet into your device. If it has UPnP then enable it. If not, then port forward. AFAIK westell generally need port forwarding.

Whilst you may be able to downld, you'd never be able to direct connect, & would have problems chatting.

See http://www.new2chat.com/pc-security.html about why you shouldn't have 2 active firewalls. (there was a better article at M$ site but it's gone.) If you have a decent firewall then that's fine, choose the best one.
