Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

Can't connect anymore... I upgraded to 4.12.6 Basic Friday and downloaded a song fine. Now I can't connect. I did all the things that the site says to do - added Gnutella, etc. and still can't connect. There is a brick wall in front of the world icon. 1. OS version: WinXP Home Edition 2. What firewalls you have: windows firewall - have some security on through Internet Explorer 3. How much ram: 512 MB 4. Hard Disk space available? 150 GB on C & on G drives 5. Connection type: DSL 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers: Westell VersaLink 327W 7. Where are you trying to connect from: my home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have: LW 4.12.6 and java Version 1.5.0 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? BellSouth 10. Go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!': Yes 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Home network thru BellSouth for other computers in my home - password protected 12. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user: I upgraded to 4.12.6 Basic Friday and downloaded a song fine. Used previous LM just fine. 13. Your Modem/Router has probably got a built in Nat firewall... Try setting the UPnP and if that doesn't work try Port Forwarding, the steps on how to do this are in this thread... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=51357

Well I reckon you should give Port Forwarding ago... This is the instructions for your Modem/Router.... http://portforward.com/english/route...W/Limewire.htm That link is for Westell VersaLink-327W And this one is for Westell VersaLink 327W, I wasn't sure which one you had http://portforward.com/english/route...W/Limewire.htm You will know which one is yours as soon as you log into your Modem....
