Unhappy Port Number

Help!!! I have been using limewire pro for some months with out a problem, But now when I start up I am being told that Limewire can not find a port. Can any one help me out with this, All the best, Mac.

Go LW>Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall and see whether there is a port number in the filed of the listening port.

In any case, deleting the LW preference folder to prevent any corruption and/or misconfiguration of the client as possible cause might be another step you could take. How to do so, you can read here in Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire:

Default A Suggestion :

You must have "Re-Configured" Your Firewall recently ..

Limewire Pro Does Not Usuall have a Problem unless (i) You have reconfigured your firewall, or (2) Changed the Firewall or Proxy Options in the Actual Limewire Pro.

Check Your Firewall (Windowsa) First, if that is OK, then Check the Proxy and Firewall settings under "Option" in Limewire Pro ..
