![]() Hi I always used to be able to connect to limewire, over the last couple of mnths I cant[like everyone else]Ive turned me firewall off and on to try and resolve this, but im not at all Techy on the PC[IM USELESS].When i go on options then advanced then firewall config, what number should i have in the listen in port i have 19676 in there?.Is this where port 6346 should be. Any advice would be grateful, but please dont make it to technical. Many Thanks To Any Replies |

![]() You could try changing the listening port back to 6346. But first, do this test & see what result you get. If that test doesn't work, means that LW's default port is blocked. http://www3.limewire.com:6346 Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall)? You need to read through this sticky Connection problems? Check here first! There's a lot of info in there. Most of it's not too technical, just go through it slowly ![]() If you're stuck, post back with your details. Post #2 of the sticky shows the info we need. |

![]() Plusnet are on the list of ISPs known to block or filter p2p, check out the link below. If you use the forum search to look for Plusnet, you'll find more info! http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=33712 You could try changing to a higher port (even though the test worked for 6346). Try one in the range of 49152 - 65535. You'll need to change LW's listening port, ports allowed within your software firewall & any ports forwarded through your router. |
