Default LW won't connect on Vista - I DON'T have McAfee

For some reason, Limewire won't connect on my laptop, which has Vista. I tried looking for McAfee to delete it in my control panel, but I don't even have that. I've included Limewire as exceptions on Norton AnitVirus and I've even disabled that, but nothing works. I don't know what to do. If you can, please email me: EMAIL=***

Thanks!

Vista has its own firewall. You will need to go to the control panels to disable that. Norton should be fine if Vista firewall is not running.

One thing to try in meantime is: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/334551-post21.html download that file, unzip, take the first gnutella.net file you see out of the folder & replace the older gnutella.net file inside the LW preferences folder; http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html
