Unblock Limewire P2P
 

My Limewire won't connect because my ISP has it blocked. Is there a way I can unblock it or change some settings?

Probably not. You could try changing to a higher port, one in the range of 49152-65535. You'd need to change LW's listening port (tools > options > advanced > firewall config), ports allowed within a software firewall & also any port numbers forwarded through a modem/router.
No guarantees that this would help, though.

The sure fire way to get unblocked is to change ISPs to one that does not have an anti-P2P policy.

I have tried to download Limewire numurous times everytime it says a fatal connection has occured and internal corruption. Please help :)

Which LW installer are you using (online or offline)?

Try this: Install Java first. Try this version of Java, use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version (if you have one) before you install this one.
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Now reinstall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (not the recommended one).

Probably not. Those recommendations refer to the member with the fatal connection/internal corruption problem. :)
