Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() Sorry vince but I don't want to start another thread... seems like there are a ton of people that are having troubles connecting to limewire. I Port Forwarded as I was told and still no connection. I configured my firewall and I'm not running AVG atm (I don't think it comes equipped with a firewall anyway?) What else is there to do? ![]() Well yes that may make some difference. But I believe the underlying problem is your isp. They do shape bandwidth against p2p programs. eg: Here's an example of how a p2p bandwidth shaper can work against Gnutella: Bandwidth Shaper Sample - typical of how some ISP's use it (click on link) ie: giving priority to net surfing & low priorities to p2p sharing. ![]() hey guys i think i found my problem... but i dont know how to fix it look at this topic is matches my exact problem http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...714#post235714... the problem is that i think there are 2 routes and one of them is blocked..... so it worked for that guy for mac... but how do i do it for xp... i did the freaky windows xp config thing but it is still there (the windows brick thing)............ please someone save me please |
