Beginner :o( please help
 

Hi

The installation of limewire went fine however when i try to open it a message pops up about not being able to intialize and start etc.

I've searched for answers and been advised to first add limewire as an exeption to my firewall. Done. No difference.

Then i was advised to open a new port, which i know how to do in theory (if i had the listening port number?) but i've been told i have to go into limewire then tools etc to get this??? can't open it ha ha so that was no help at all

Thing is i've had limewire on my comp before the program got deleted by a friend by mistake.

I'm stuck, and irritated. Can someone help?

Try removing your current Java & then reinstall JRE using the offline installer here

Then reinstall LW using it's offline installer
