First of all i have this:

Ferrari 4000: 2 GHZ, 1 GB Ram, XP PRO Computer
A Belkin Router
Zone Alarm
Norton Anti V 05
Windows Firewall Off

Ive been through hell trying to get this program to run. It did before perfectly but the new update aint the same. I tryed makeing a static IP Address and useing a manuel link to my router....nothing. I tryed Deleteing my Pref's (Both files) I have all the updates for Java.

Now it will connect at times with a Very Strong full green connection but i can't seem to get any files....Ever. It shows many search results but i cant hold a download. I had one song out of 30 tryed, start downloading and i got 3% of it and it asked for more sorces even though it had 30 to pick from and at one time was connected to 7. It never went above 1kbps. Im on a VERY fast internet connection.

I tryed an old version and it would crash saying that there was a firewall even though i had disabled them all. I tryed turning off all of my firewall's and nothing. Ive spent 8 hours trying to get this to work.....id apreceate help greatly...im ready to say goodbye to Limewire. :confused:

It could be a number of things...
Have you configured LW with zonealarm and Norton...If you have could you post your make and model number of your modem/router....:rolleyes_2:

Yes Norton and Zone Alarm Are set up properly and disableing them does nothing. (Also Unistalling them and doing a registry clean does nothing.....that took me two hours to figure out.)

And i set up the router properly for PORT FORWARD and that did nothing.....actually it acted the same as before when useing it normaly.....i got little or no download speed but a solid connection.

The file that i got 3% off was legit also it was a solid file. IDK what the heck is up. It takes sometimes 5 min to connect sometimes and when it does it is solid but VERY VERY slow and constantly disconects. Ive never had this problem im running a FAST +3mbps connection....i should be blazeing here. My internet is amazing like with web pages and music video's online.

Also I Apreceate the reply man...any info is good info. To answer your question its a belkin and it was set up propely for a static IP Port forward. :confused:

If you have Port Forwarded and configured all your security for LW, I don't know why you would still have the brick wall...Are you sure you Port Forwarded correctly...Is your listen port and the manual port forward number exactly the same....
