Can't connect on Windows NT OS I have been thru the connection trouble shooting list and am beginning to wonder if UPnP is supported on NT... I tried to setup windows to enable UPnP through the Add/Remove Programs dialogue and found there was no UPnP selection to mark. Are my suspiscions true? Here is what I have: 1. OS version? Windows NT SP1 2. What firewalls you have? None 3. How much ram? plenty 4. Hard Disk space available? plenty 5. Connection type? cable 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? D-Link DI-624 vC UPnP enabled 7. Where are you trying to connect from home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.12, 1.5.0_01 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Time Warner 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? -->>> 'Your test worked!' 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. On LAN, CAT5 connection to router with the computer in question. 12. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem after upgrading LW from older version that worked. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? Yes! Bummer... If 4.12 does not work with NT, does anyone have a place I can get my older version that worked? Thanks for any help in advance!!! DMD:PEACE: |
