Deadland is flying high
Default From Humboldt as well

My limewire stopped working when I had the shift from Cox to Suddenlink as well. Might be the issue though I have no idea how to get around it. Suddenlink is rather lacking on response to customer requests for tech support. I had no issues until the service provider switch occured.

Humboldt,
Your modem doesn't seem to have a firewall...did you try reconfiguring Norton?
A lot of Cox customers had trouble using LW, not too sure about SuddenLink.
There are a couple of points in their AUP which could suggest that they're anti-p2p but I can't find anything to say that they're definitely going to cause problems.
http://www.suddenlink.com/About-Sudd...nd-Policy.html

You could try connecting through a different port , say 64049...tools > options > advanced > firewall config & you can change LW's listening port.

AUP is acceptable use policy (sorry)...that's where you can often find info about whether your is blocking or throttling p2p. It does sound suss that you & Deadland both had probs after the ISP change. Have you tried calling them to find out their policy on p2p?

You could always try using a different port & see if that helps.
Otherwise...sorry but I'm a bit stumped.

I don't get it i thought limewire was designed to work behind a firewall? When is a firewall ok and when not? I set my computer as DMZ so that should make it irrelevant but I wouldn't mind having it work behind a firewall if I ever want to change it. Doesn't work at all at this point though so I guess it's a moot point.

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
WIN XP Professional SP2

2. What firewalls you have?
Windows Firewall

3. How much ram?
2.00GB

4. Hard Disk space available?
15GB

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
Cable

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
Cable Modem: Toshiba PCX1100U
Router: D-Link AirPlus XtremeG D1-624

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?
House

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
Limewire 4.12.16
Java 1.5.0-_09

9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?
Suddenlink

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
"Your Test Worked"

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
On a wireless network. One other PC in the house on a hardline of the same router network

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
Been using LW for years ... first time I've had a problem connecting that wasn't easily resolved.

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?
Yes, even when windows firewall is disabled.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled LW twice to no avail. I've manually entered an exception in my firewall as well. I've also manually entered my firewall listening port I obtained from the Advanced settings in LW. Still nothing. I've also changed my port to 64049 as birdy suggested and still can't connect. All of which leads me to believe its got something to do with the wonderful folks at Suddenlink. Thus far they have not answered any of my tech support questions including ones unrelated to this issue with my p2p. Next step is to call them ... but as it stands I expect to be treated to a voice recording of an FAQ. LOL.
