You wouldn't happen to be with Shaw Cable would you? See them listed here ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire

That's often how it happens. They detect you using a lot of bandwidth then set the dogs onto you (p2p filters.)

Default trouble downloading

I have had the same problem with being unable to make connections. I use charter, so i cant imagine having a problem with filtering or blocking. I have tried about 30 files, all with under 20 sources, and have gotten nothing. I have had the same problem with bearshare, but i assume the problems are one and the same, as bearshare uses limewire sources sometimes. It is hard for me to believe that the majority of files on limewire are fake files. As i have seen a large number or recent posts on this issue, i wonder what on earth is going on??!! I also use bearflicks, and all of the sudden, a few days ago, the majority of the movie files that were just recently on there disappeared. I think that something deeper is going on, and wonder if perhaps gnutella is starting to cave to production companies??
