6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? a brand new linksys
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Doest matter with this problem
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? comporium (local company)
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. only another desktop
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. this problem has happened several times
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Doest matter with this problem



Every since I downloaded Limwire before downloading any songs i noticed my internet was running very slowly when opening a new page. It takes about 45 seconds to load, I have ran norton antivirus 2006, spysweeper and adaware they were all clean. It still takes along time to load a new window ive defragmented my computer didnt help at all so i reformatted it and it helped i didnt think it was limewire so i downloaded it again and again same thing happened so i totally deleted limewire restarted computer and i didnt help at all it still ran slow so i reformatted again and worked fine well i got bored and needed music on my computer so i was forced to download limewire again and same thign happened once again so now when i open a new window it takes about 45 seconds to a minutes to load when i click it the page pops up instantly plain white page and it says connecting for about 40 seconds then it loads the page in about 5 seconds it also take about 45 seconds to connect to yahoo messenger/MSN messenger this problem IS from limewire there is no other possible reason for this i need help i cant reformat again i have too much important documents on my computer now to lose them all so if anyone coudl help me i would be VERY thankfull.Thanks

Your Java version might matter. Have you tried updating? You can download the latest JRE (update 9) from the link below. Use the offline installer.
