Unhappy Linux and Windows Connect Problems

I have two computers at home and both run the same version of LimeWire ver. 1.9. When I try to connect via the windows machine I have no trouble at all. The problem is when I try to connect via my linux box. It just sits there under the connections tab waiting. Anybody know a fix for linux would be a great help since I am new to it and not to familiar with its security. I also try forcing the ip but with no avail

thanks

chris

Now do you mean connecting from the linux machine TO the windows machine??

If you do, I have the same problem with a mac os x to windows. I launch the mac client, manually punch in the ip for the windoze box. I *think* it connects, but don't see it register. It just immediately closes the connection. Perhaps partually because the win machine is currenly connected to an ultrapeer?
