Question Losing connection on Limewire

I have never had a problem until I got Comcasts' cable modem. I seem to lose the connection every so often, sometimes more than others. I am thinking a driver/software conflict either with Limewire or Java 1.3.1.. Sometimes disabling and re-enabling the CATC driver works, but 9 times out of 10, a reboot is needed. I not an ace programmer, just a beginner, can you point me in the right direction to find the bug or conflict.

Things Tried

Disabling Firewall
Disabling Anti-Virus
Modem passed all tests and is working properly

Maybe this is the problem. Isn't Comcast related to @Home services.... I believe that this Internet Access is in disarray and confusion, which probably means that technical issues are rampant....

What about other basic web connectivity.... can you PING sites? Try going to a MS DOS Command Prompt:

C:\>ping www.yahoo.com

Pinging www.yahoo.akadns.net [64.58.76.228] with 32 bytes of data:
