Give us your details please. If the port test doesn't work, it can mean that an ISP is blocking ports.

Make sure LW's allowed thru your Windows firewall. That big connection problems thread has a link to firewall config instructions.

AFAIK, Qwest don't block p2p. Have you tried accessing that test page with another browser?
You could try changing ports. Within LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall config. On this page you'll see LW's listening port. Change it to 64049 > apply > ok.

Your modem has a firewall. If the modem supports UPnP,enable it & then choose the UPnP option on that same firewall config page where you changed port number. See if that helps.

If not, you could try port forwarding. Check the link below for instructions & don't forget the step of setting up a static IP, otherwise things won't work
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...G/Limewire.htm

Just remember that any ports forwarded have to be the same number as LW's listening port & ports allowed through a firewall. All numbers have to be the same.

i changed the port and double checked that limewire is accepted through windows.

Should the box above limewire be checked as well? it is in your example, but was not on my computer. (allow file and printer sharing)

I don't use the Windows firewall anymore, but when I was using it - file & printer sharing was not checked.
