Try this (don't kill me if it doesn't work):

Start > connect to > your ISP > properties > advanced > now untick the box to 'establish a dial up connection whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the internet' > ok.

See if that fixes it. Otherwise, someone else will have to step in

ok im back lol, of course nothing works for me for some reason, but anyways i just did a search of "firewall" on my computer and i found a lot of resutls and it wouldnt let me delete a few, it said somethiing about not being able to read the disk or something?

Do you get any program names when you search for firewalls? Can you take a screenshot of your search results (might give a clue to someone)?
Did you get the dial up off?
Did you ever find out if Atlantic has a backup dial up service & if so, did you try that?

umm i think i got rid of the dial up, i dont know how to take screen shots and im having my dad call atlantic broadband tommorow so , looks like i just struck out lol ill take a screen shot if u want, but you have to tell me how

o ya the one firewall on the list was related to the adobe thing, i didnt know what that was but i removed it all from my computer, under type it said something like "block file sharing"

Forget about the screenshot for now, wait & see what Atlantic say.
You've done a great job with all this & have been really patient, I hope that there's a way to get LW working for you

the one firewall on this list is a peoplePC firewall, i open it and it has 11 options to click on, i might just delete it all

I guess you can delete all that stuff if you're not going to use them to connect.

ya thats what im wondering, theres no trace of anything people pc ont his computer except when i search firewalls :-\ all this people pc stuff is in afolder called "bin" lol dont know if thats normal
